Recommended Bike Mechanic In Norfolk

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by Daniel Bunting, May 19, 2016.

  1. Evening all.

Been a while since I've posted due to relocating to Norfolk. I'm now looking for a recommended dealership or independent garage to do some work on it for me and wondered if you guys could recommend anywhere?

    Thanks in advance

  2. Hi Daniel,

I haven't used him myself (not living in that part of the country), but the Norfolk Ducati independent specialist who seems to have quite a few fans is Carl Harrison in Harleston Carl Harrison Motorycle Services - Welcome

  3. Where in Norfolk are you? I will be going back when i retire. Who remembers Chris Clarkes in Wymondham?

  4. Me Sir! I bought my first Ducati from him (748R) in 2001.

  5. My bikes booked in with Carl Harrison in harleston the first week of June for belts and a service, popped in a couple of times in the past and he seems to be a very knowledgable guy when it comes to bikes. Very helpful too.

  6. I know a guy who is handy with tractors up there! Got 5 webbed fingers

  7. Yes me too, I sold my 1979 Ducati Darmah 900ss to him in 1985ish. Is he still a dealership?

  8. Carl is a top bloke. I was DD racing at Snetterton and the fuel pump on my Monster gave up. I rang him, he said he had one, so I jumped in the van and went over. When I got there he gave it to me gratis. Saved my weekend :)

  9. No, long gone.

  10. Ooh, I used to like tractors - really like them but I've switched my obsession to Ducatis now.

I guess that makes me an ex-tractor fan... ;)

  11. Oh no bet he wish he was still around now?

  12. Does anyone remember Greg Page? I sold a Suzuki GSX 750 to him,is he still around?

  13. I do love a good tractor as well just not on the road at the same time I am with the bike.

  14. I'm off tractors.
One did a very good job of trying to wipe me out a little while ago.
I was sitting at some temporary lights on a country road and he came steaming past from behind at full chat before the lights turned green. I had no idea he was coming, he would have gone straight over both me and bike if those lights had changed before they did.

  15. Bit late on this, but another vote for Carl Harrison. Used him for several years now - top bloke and knows his stuff
