That looks really cool. I love to see what was originally quite a boring car modded to make it look racey, especially cars from the 60's or 70's.
I'm with you on that. Something like that isn't boring. When I got married the first time round I hired something similar ... just like this ... The first Mrs H and I had an excellent drive up to the the in-laws in Yorkshire and saw two other Morgans on the road both of whom exchanged waves with us - just like bikers. My best man then blew my ex-mother-in-law's hat off driving her in it to the church  A few years later the current Mrs H and I had a lovely long weekend blatting around the Cotswolds in a lovely racing green one that we hired from the same place. Really must do it again some time.
Exotic cars and expensive bikes. What the f*%k do you boys do for a living !!!! Ive a 172000 mile snot green micra. I die a little inside everytime i have to drive it. Never let me down though.
The way the Little Monsters have been behaving today, they'll be lucky if they ever get to go to Pony Club again.
Best car I ever owned was a black Alfa 75 3.0V6 cloverleaf, the sort of car that if you opened the bonnet, stroked the engine and talked nicely to it it would go particularly well for a few days. The last of the proper rear wheel drive Alfas, nicest sounding car I ever heard and was described to me as "a biker's car" or "a pimps car". I was in tears when I sold it. It was succeeded by a Scoobie, which was so good on the road it was boring. I now spend 2k a year less in fuel in a modern diesel which can use 1/3rd of the fuel the Alfa did and has nearly got the same torque. Eventually you give up on performance cars for day to day use as you just can't use them properly.
It's gonna be in Retro Cars mag soon. I've actually kept it very original looking-only noticeable mods are the wheels and the 4" drop and it hasn't the original airbox-needed sock filters (fitted over trumpets) to flow more air.
Italian bikes, German cars for me. Fancied a small car with a stealthy look and a bit of go; Audi A3, 3.2.
Sensible family car - 3 series. Increasingly tempted by a mid-life crisis Porsche Cayman or old 911 though. I suspect that when I get around to a test drive it'll just be a bit bland after the 749.
I have a civic fd2 type r in white lovely car to drive ,I'll try get a picture up tomorrow along with my mk5 gti
Nelson - you mist be local if thats the diner just outside basingstoke some nice cars here, always hankered after a 911 but actually starting to prefer the Cayman, have a 60 plate 520 myself with 80k on it so fa and Mrs rubs a 307cc....still failing on convincing her the Porker wold be as good and economical for work for her
I'm with Sprocket on this - it would take a lottery win to buy any of the very nice cars featured here, with the exception of the Marina - nothing personal Balmy you have done some interesting things to it, but I had an MM for my first car and Never again. I trundle around in a 54 plate 1.5 Almera that costs more to insure (group 5) than all my bikes - 916SPS, 2 x 900SS and Honda XL185. I looked at changing for something in group 11 the other day and it was going to cost more than double the bike premium. I think they must have my age the wrong way round on the database I'm 47 not 74!
Never been excited by cars .. When I was married we brought a mk1 escort because I had one when I was a child and it was really good. One day I put rocks in the hubcaps before my then hubby drove to work .. He rang me up to say the car was making a terrible noise... I only passed my car test in 2004! Because I used to be sick all the time in cars and travelled by bikes all the time. I'm ok if I drive ..I'm now ok but only if I sit in front with a window open I can't travel in back. First car was Pip my VW beetle which was restored but was a money pit and I couldn't leave at work due to vandals. My first main car which I got when I passed my test is my 1996 Opel Astra! I have been everywhere in him but this year his head gasket blew after some scroats unplugged my fan at work and he overheated . Suspension arms broke and then yesterday his clutch went after 8 yrs Just scraped to get it fixed. I need a new old car have no idea what to look for or buy!!!!! I wanted my dads PT cruiser but he chopped it in could have killed him! Heard they are a pig to work on and overheat lots and have head gasket probs was looking at buying one as cheap now but as Chrysler have stopped making them may be a bad idea. Need to buy cheap but reliable car with power steering and aircon . It's basically nice car no dukes or dukes and budget car! I can't imagine no dukes ;(
