I am quite tall, 6'4'', and would like to get some adjustable rear sets with the brake pedal combined. There are lots on the market but does anyone have any particular recommendations? Thanks. SFH.
SFH, did you sort anything out? At 6'2" I'm a bit shorter than you, but also have size 13 feet. Looking at ways and means to get my 1098R to fit a bit better than badly I'm also hoping that adjustable rearsets would accommodate my boots, and even allow a bit on the pegs to ease my legs being crunched up. Others on my list are: Mirror Extenders Tall Screen - seriously considering the Zero Gravity Corsa or Sports Touring. Handlebar Raisers - Helibars? rather expensive, but seem to offer the necessary. I'm not looking for a cumfy tourer, just need to be at ease on board lol Has anyone had any experience making things fit? Cheers, Bob
I have Lightech adjustable ones. I am however, a short arse with size 7 feet, so cannot comment on how they would suit a taller person!
I'm 6' 4" with size 12s and have the DP rear sets and race shift on my R. Biggest issue for me is the gear lever fouls the catch tray if it's positioned right for me so I end up having to lift my foot off the peg to change gear. The rear brake set up however is great. Andy
@Nelson . Saw one with your name on it at Ducati Manchester this morning, Gary. Brand new unregistered. Only asking £29,995!
I'm 6,2 and had some gb moto ones on my 848. They were decent quality and plenty of adjustment. Once I fitted them I found I could tuck my legs into the folds of the fairing. @Robert Williams another thing to make the ride a bit less harsh is to fit a superpole seat. Grippy as owt and lifts you an inch up higher. The speedymoto top yoke might be a better bet than the helibars. They let you raise the bars half an inch or so.
Attack Performance rearsets offer loads of extra room (with the caveat on less ground clearance...). You can reverse the left and right peg holders.
I have Gilles VCR rear sets on my 'R'. I'm 6'1" and the bike is fine for me. They adjust front / rear and up / down on a sliding mechanism so you can pfaff about quite easily until you get them right. If you don't already have one, buy a 'Superpole' seat. They raise you up by 1" and in my experience make more of a differnece than rear sets.
