Hi has anyone fitted a sat nav to either 999 or 749 ? Can you give me any clues or pointers for elec connections or mounting the Sat nav neatly ?
I've just fitted mine got a ball ram mount 172172215176 (ebay )and mounted to the steering damper using the centre mounting point just use a longer M6 Allen bolt and a appropriate spacer washer to let the damper still float when tightened. This gets sat nav in the centre bellow the dash .
I have the Duc1 from Bikepenr on my 1198, but it's the same model and fitting for the 999. Might be worth a look - English
RSame as Charlie 749. Use ram mount ball with 6mm female thread. Length of s/s 6mm studding and couple of nuts. Power off the Optimate leads I have already fitted. BE AWARE I had to swap the + & - leads on my TomTom rider v5 to Optimate connector-adapter as these were the wrong way round ( semi round/square plastic) when compared to the Optimate lead. Just make sure you check and are certain these are correct or you will fry it.
