Hi Jus wondered if anyone has experienced this with their 1299's Happend a few times now when changing up a gear the bike doesn't like it too much under load when going up to next gear and goes all kangaroo like it's not fueling properly or something. This is on quite hard throttle but only around 5/6000 revs (running in period) Maybe it's as it wants to be revved more? I'm not sure Going in for running in service on Tuesday so may mention it unless it's something I may be doing? Bike has also cut out a few times on start up idles for a bit then just shuts off? Cheers for any feedback Ps first ducati
Yeah they will re-sync the throttle bodies as part of the 1st service (at least they used to) and it should smooth out but the engines are always pretty lumpy from cold! Mine is a bit stroppy until warm but no where near as lumpy as my older Ducati's
mine did a similar thing when I first rode it. dealer changed the throttle bodies. was better afterwards but lumpy dead spot low down in revs is still there with akras fitted. dealer cannot help with rough low down dead spot rev problem so getting mine sorted by a tuner to help slow riding through town etc. down to having akras from new.not happy about forking out extra money to get this done, but dealer told me that's the way they are just keep the revs higher was told.all very well but I live in the real world and the bike is a right handful at 30mph.
Cheers for responses goes in tomorrow so il see what they say, did it again today from 2nd to 3rd coming out of a roundabout 6000revs changed up and then just hunting again revs/power going on and of. wouldn't want it doing that at 10000rpm plus it be like a rodeo... think I'm getting a monster 1200 for the day so that be nice to try out
Got it back they couldn't find an issue on test run or diagnostics but have to say the bike feels awesome now after service and with full rev range, what a machine, it took my 5min journey home needing to be extended by an hour and a half of fun quick shifting and rev raging, over the moon
