Who ever wins ,deserves it ,they are all mental. The bit I saw the other night, with that there Dunlop bloke, jeez,I watched most of it from behind the settee.
Yes, his pelvis on the Roberts triple but I think it's fair to say he's broken many bones. Correct also on the leukaemia. I think he was racing in the UK when he got it. He was quoted as saying that he also won the MCN rider of the year and reckoned it was because people felt sorry for him !! He's been through the mill as they say.
totally agree, heart is in my mouth all of the time,,,,, and i have seen them in real in NI,, unbelievable !!
I love watching Dunlop throw that bike around I don't think the front and rear wheel of that bike ever travel in the same direction lol
And never forget the other 70 or so riders In the race as I can assure you try just as hard, for every corner of every race. For them the final finish line means as much to them as it does for Hutchy and co.
Amen to that. So, my predictions to date "Hutchy's looking strong" - yup (albeit a bit vague) "I think Ivan Lintin has the lightweight sewn up" - woo! I got one right! "Anstey's there or there abouts" - oh well.... although he's coming back round, so I'm hoping for a startler in the Senior! John McG's having a bit of a year of it isn't he? I think he thought the leccy was his banked podium. You can ride anything the organisers let you in the senior can't you? If I were Marquez, I'd be putting a padlock on my bike right about now...
I seem to remember John having a bit of a snotter last year and then being on fire in the senior though. We shall see
Sorry , but the only way John wins that is if several break down . Actually I suppose we could factor tomorrows poor weather in which will slow things down a bit but how ever McG rides it will not make up for the lack of power . Dunlop has been disqualified in one and then between by Hutchy on 3 others. Do you not think he's going to be a little bit fired up for it ?
I can't see beyond Hutchy and Dunlop. I think McGuiness' senior last year was the last hurrah of the current Honda superbike - he rode the wheels off it to do that and all the bikes have got faster this year
for sure has to be between hutchy and dunlop,,,,, much as i like McG i hope he does not win because i want to see Joey's all time record stay with him...
Different ways of looking at that though Joeys record will eventually get broken, and John is the most suitable, worthy candidate.
That's a big point of mine and this TT Zero thing. IM all up for the race but I really don't think that they can be classed as a full on TT win. If mcG wins another 4 of those he'll be Joeys record. Really ? I think not. Very glad he didn't win yesterday for that reason alone. What was it , 5 bikes finished , and some of those posted speed half of the top two on Sulby .
TBH i am not with you on the Zeros, i dont care what powers the bike,, and yes if JmG does win enough and takes Joeys record then he is by definition a worthy champ,,, i just hope he doesnt !!!
I don't care what powers the bike , it can be horse poo and i'll be happy but I do feel that I would want to see 40 or 50 other horse poo powered bikes to challenge for the win. The little Lightweight bikes, I'm happy with those where some are not as there is a depth of field. Yesterday had two at 160 on Sulby , others at 72 !! That just not enough bikes at a good enough quality for me to be a genuine TT win . Yes, for me lets include them later when there is a better depth , but not yet .
OK. Sidecars , mustn't forget them , and of course the Senior. Delays so far but that's mist and it's clearing so it's going to be ok for a late starting day . Dunlop or Hutchy ? Hutchy or Dunlop ? How ever I type it I can t call this. Dunlop is so going to be up for this , Hutchy is telling people to bet on him . Both on Bm's , both on record pace TV last TV was saying 134 laps . I cant see that . Lap records will go , but not that high. So , I'm going to say.................................... Dunlop . I think he's going to bully a win. I also hope to god neither want to win too much.
I am concerned how hard they'll push, but they're big boys and know the risks I think if things are working Dunlop will take it, I think his limit is possibly a little higher.. We shall see.. Worrying hearing Dunlop say things like "I'll either win or die"
