  2. Very nice, noticed much difference?

  3. They're not fitted properly yet. I need sockets and a torque wrench from a mate but he's away for a few days which is just plain rude

  4. Socket is about £8 from machine mart and torque wrench about £20!

  5. Looks like 899 chain adjusted block is opposite way round to 959 - must be how they lengthened the wheel base on the 959.

  6. That 36mm 12 tooth jobbie on the back is never £8!

I'm not home this weekend and it's raining so it's not the end of the world waiting. And I really, really need to stop spending money

  7. Always been that way buddy

  8. You can run them both ways, I've got the service manual and it says to spin them when the adjustment gets long to avoid unscrewing the adjusters too much

  9. Ah right that's a good idea

I went up a tooth at the back and had to wind the screws in a few turns to compensate. If I went up more teeth I would have to turn the adjusted round

  10. I'm sure I read somewhere that it works fine either way. I just took some photos before I took it apart so I got it right. I've put it back in exactly the same place but as I have a new sprocket (standard size) do you think my chain tension needs checking?

Ah bargain. No machine mart near me though. Tools are on my list of things to but

  11. Looking at google images of both bikes it seems like 899 is as per your photos and the 959 is reversed. They fitted a 43t sprocket to the 959 which is probably why they switched it round. I'm sure they also lengthened the wheel base a few I'm in the 959.

Halford have them sockets for £10

  13. Did you weigh them to compare to standard wheels?

Look good by the way. Transforms the bike without red wheels

  14. No I didn't weight them but the difference is massive. Really pleased. Dymag turned them around in a week as well

  15. They do look good. Will be easier to clean too!

I wonder how they compare to the OZ's

Did you get them from HPS?

  16. Nope, Motodex. Really helpful guy. £137 cheaper than Hps, Bike Torque and Dymag direct with the black sprocket.
