Ducati Only Trackdays 2016

  1. That's a keeper

  2. No!

  3. Yeh, that's why I said a "decent set of road tyres" :D. My Metzeler Racetechs are pretty much the same as the SCs and are brand new, so they won't be going anywhere near a damp track :Nailbiting:. Andy

  4. I have Metzler M7RR's fitted , they're not too bad in the damp/wet, but this will be the last TD i'll get out of them maybe ?

  5. The M7RR is IMO (I know others differ which is fine) a great tyre and you will have a good day, rain or shine :upyeah:. Andy

  6. I've only got a set of new SC's and no tyre warmers... Could be interesting... Having said that I'm in the novice group so will just pootle around if it's wet like everyone else with traction control set to 1 ..

  7. If you are looking to the future, Crescent Motorcycles in Verwood are currently offering their own label, Cap It clone, tyre warmers for £180. Andy

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  8. Didn't know that, good to know, I've bought a 600 recently and am slowly doing bits to it and tyre warmers etc are on the list... Riding to and from trackdays is fun but tiring and im beginning to realise that a rucksack with a set of Allen keys and a banana doesn't quite cut it

  9. Are you a fellow south coaster then Andy?

  10. Sadly no, M4 corridor between Newbury and Reading although on the up side, I am closer to Silverstone. When the time comes, tow bar and trailer will be your best friend. Andy

  11. Just get bike-it warmers for about £100. And ride like a wet road and all good

  12. Or you could go for Holroyd Race Tech warmers, similar price to Bike-It but made in the UK and I'm told, highly regarded in the paddock. I suggested Crescent for the convenience of being just up the road from frazzle and I'm still a huge fan of seeing what I'm buying before I shell out. That is worth the extra to me and the Crescent warmer uses the same latest technology as probably the best manufacturer currently supplying world renowned race teams. A maxim I grew up with is always buy the best you can afford when it's something you want to use again and again. Andy

  13. Yeah living by the beach is great for many things, unfortunately closeness to race tracks is not one of them... Having said that Silverstone is not too far and I did Donny in 3 hours is the pissing rain last month so it's not too bad... Defo van or trailer soon though... Really looking forward to next week though, be nice to meet a few fellow ducatisti too ... Phil

  14. Actually I think I meant race tech not bike it

  15. Just pulling together the wherewithal for Thursday. Bike ✔️, wets ✔️, toolbox ✔️, leathers, boots, gloves, helmet ✔️, overjacket and trousers ✔️, tyre warmers ✔️, petrol cans (2x10L) ✔️. Just looked at the weather forecast (⛈) and need to add one more thing, scuba gear . I'm not going to be down hearted, I'm going prepared for wet conditions, so I'm going out on track to spite the weather and be damned . Andy
