  1. I guess so......the 900 lump seems quite a bit heavier...........or it did when I could lift one........but the ally swingarm and the zorsts make a huge difference as well.

Twin and Showa forks, plus Showa rear shock which seemed lighter than the OEM Sachs Boge one.

  2. Yeah, right............

  3. Seriously I need to resist...

  4. Don't resist much longer or the price might go up........

With all the spares you could keep 3 SSs going for ages.......

  5. Re the 1000ss, i saw this last night for the first time and came to the same conclusion as Fire3500..It looks good but not super clean like mine was (with 24k miles on it)..I reckon it's been kept outside at some point in it's sweet life. I am very tempted to buy it though as I love mine and would love to get another so I have one for the future. Horrible to ride through towns and small roundabouts but once you get on an clean A road it's such a fine machine and that engine has 2 throttle settings..Slow and Fast.
£3k is a steal..have you seen the price of new bikes just now?

  7. Troutman, are you the one that bought the Senna DS from Scotland advertised on facebook SS group with a crazy low asking price of round £2500?

  8. No..mine is red as in the vid. Don't know who bought that but it was a forum member I think.

  9. The Speed Parlour is just down the road from me. It did used to be a funeral parlour of which I've unfortunately had to visit on a few occasions over the years, so it's nice to see bikes in there and not coffins! I've known and dealt with Andy for a good few years now and I know he has a particular passion for the SS model and has done a good number of project bikes. There might be a bit a grub here and there but I'd bet my last penny the motor will have been gone through with a fine toothed comb and the bike will be spot on.

  10. £2000?

  11. I called about it yesterday morning with a view to buying it but was told he had just sold it and was writing out a receipt for the deposit. Shame for me but lucky for someone else I think.

  12. Yep, that's about right (without the spares) because that's what a dealer has offered me.......But I'm trying to clear the lot.......

  13. Ah I see

    £2100?

  14. More..........there is over a grands worth of spares using very conservative pricing.

  15. It's a lucky dip though innit. My valuation might be very different on those parts and I would want shut of them on ebay quickly, cheaper than anybody elses's etc.

£2200 might be my last bid.

  16. Yep, it might be.......

....but if you don't think a pair of forks for £60 is cheap enough, when someone on this forum just paid approx £70 for one shroud...........

    ....that's fine by me........

  17. Great...£2200 it is then. Where is it?

  18. Don't be daft........

  19. That is only 300 under the asking price. It's definitely not daft. Time to lay your cards, monsieur.

  20. I thought you meant you wanted to pay £2200 for a pair of forks.............

.........because you aren't getting the bike and spares for that price.....I have already turned down more than that.
