821 Custom Mapping

  1. ok guys so im now thinking of custom mapping my 821.

Anyone used BSD in Peterborough before? I know they have a great rep and do a lot of press work.

They've quoted me £450 to remap the bike on their dyno.

    Any thoughts?

  2. Every bike will be a custom map because every bike is slightly different .... BSD very well respected and Mark knows his Ducati's inside out ...

  3. Good stuff. I'm getting booked in for mid-July.

  4. Bloody Hell, £450 ?
Am I so out of touch or is that a lot ?
Maybe I'm just tight but I'd want an exhaust thrown in at that cost .:grinning:

  5. YOu do have a point, but i guess they are spending 3 hours on the dyno with an undisputed mapping expert. that's how i've justified it!

I dont imagine CJS would be any cheaper though

  6. I guess it's just me . Last time I had a bike on a dyno it had carbs and cost me about £50 !!! was just two runs up though .

    I'd put up with a dodgy map , I'm that tight !!!

  7. CJS is 425 for a first time visit 325 there after....I must confess when I first went to Chris I thought it was expensive (having never done anything like that before...) but watching him (I was there from 8am til 3pm) and he was constantly running the bike, looking at the output, dumpin the ecu to his laptop, making changes and then writing it back, and then doing the whole thing again and again til he was happy with it...

Mr Tea: Its a bind handing over that much money but, at the end of the day it saves you money in the long run....I went to k world at Sliverstone on Saturday on my z1ooo which has been done by Chris, I wasn't hanging around either (I'm in Bristol in the far south so I had to go through Bristol to get to the motorway before I even started...) There and back 21 quid in fuel which id say is pretty good...for a bike with a full system with air filter and drilled airbox and no aero dynamics to speak of...

  8. The thing is it'll be a much better bike with the mapping….or so I'm told by the world of internet forums. :-D

BSD have a great rep and are closer, so ill use them. CJS always seem super booked up and hard to get hold of, victim of his own success i suppose, busy man!

  9. I used BSD years ago for a re-map on my s2r 1000, the bike ran amazing, they did a great job i think i paid 400 odd and that was about 4 years ago
