Today was a interesting day. Starting with watching a hurricane circle waitrose pending its slot into wsm air show- very evocative. Then Driving to London for an inquest and hosp appt tomorrow as well as cooking my ma tea I saw lots of Citroen traction avants, at least half a dozen, about a dozen red kites circling above the M4 like pterodactyls and red ferraris aplenty around M25 and godstone. Varied, to say the least.
Today I have mostly been blowing my nose. I'll rephrase that: Today I have boastly been blowing by dose. After 3 weeks of solid rain, hardly surprising that I have caught a cold. Veggie garden isn't looking that clever either. Still, summer is meant to arrive this week. Only consolation, without a bike on the road, I'm not really missing anything.
I saw 4 blokes about a mile from my house hanging around in front of a market garden business. The cat that appeared to accompany their musings turned out to be a baby fox, on closer inspection as I drove past. It seemed to be very much one of the group. They were not looking at it with any surprise and seemed to find my quizzical look strange. Bizarre.
If you're going to an inquest , the Archbishops Palace in Maidstone is a good a place as any. Had some good history and lovely old panelling in the rooms. A free national trust type visit , if you will. Oh, they confirmed he died. No shit Sherlock.
Back from a rainy Solihull after several meetings at JLR to a very sunny York Dragged the Aprilia Factory out of the garage and fit the proto Starter Cable Kit that I should have done Sunday - all went well, wow it spins fast Can't be bothered posting on an Aprilia Forum as well though so will just use Ebay when I get my stock. First non Ducati Kit I have done...
Good day. Took 996 to get suspension set up at Silverstone. Thought I'd take the opportunity to get a DB reading while I was there. 104.4 @4500RPM. Dropped in at bike place in Aylesbury who does tuning, saw a lovely 996R he's been working on. Advised I really need a PC3 to get fueling right as its a P8. Several people have said this now so looks like I'll be back on eBay again.
Been back and done a bit more at the Pagoda, it's looking better now some slates are going on. Neither of them two are me, John is slating and the gorilla is supposed to be tidying up. It should be finished by the end of the week. Steve
why the yellow jacket ???? i would have thot for the safety culture a hard hat might be a bit more appropriate with some one above fitting the slates ..
It's only a matter of time .......... the Ducati days run by CSS at Donnington and Silverstone next year .......... or it might be earlier, you know it makes sense . Andy
He never takes the jacket off, can't remember the last time I wore a safety helmet at work, I don't work on big sites where it's compulsory and rigorously enforced. Steve
