British Indy: What Happens Now?

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. The manifesto hasn't changed - the referendum was a mainstay of it (when Cameron was anti EU), as was the need to deal with the consequences.

  2. No. The people of Scotland are citizens of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and it is the UK of GB and NI that is a member of the EU, which we have just voted to Leave.

  5. Maybe, in theory, but I'm not sure that's how it actually works - I vote for the party policies and not who the local rep is.
    PR - are you a liberal ;)

  6. It is called democracy, they don't have to justify how they voted to anyone.
It was the Remainders to lose and they lost it, by weakness of argument and, frankly, pissing people off with project fear.

  7. Don't care what slap head moments like that he does. What I think counts is his straight forward thinking and passion. The guy gets passionate about everything and seems to get the job done. Working in London, I've seen more change for good under Boris than I ever did under Ken.

  8. And we then all get a say at the next General Election, just like when Gordon Brown was gifted the PM slot.

  9. Come on. Nicola is ecstatic. Now she will get Ref2 and will finally be free of the hideous English for ever. This is the perfect result for her.

  11. The zip wire stunt was to Promote the London Olympics and done in just the right spirit. Fair play to him. I wouldn't have crushed my bollocks for for the Olympic games.

  12. Exactly my point, it's because he can be a bit of a Buffoon, that makes him come across as a down to earth and passionate guy.

  13. It would be a brave person who would predict the outcome of any IndyRef2, particularly if we start to see the disintegration of the Project in front of our eyes with other countries holding exit referenda.

Scotland needs to sit back and see which way the wind blows.

  20. They'd either end up with the Euro (great!) or the £ (evil English hegemony) or they'd have to invent their own currency. None of the options looks that marvellous.
