Afternoon gents (and ladies), I ordered a new 1299 Panigale from Ducati in Reading and I'm just waiting for delivery next week! CANNOT WAIT! I sold my 09 Blade at the beginning of May so haven't had a bike for a few weeks which has been a killer. This will be my first Duc, so any advice, feel free to offer some. This is my dream bike, i've wanted a Duc since I had pics of the 916 and 996 on my wall as a young lad so getting to have the latest model is a dream! I like 4 wheels too, bought a BMW M4 in March for those especially rainy days, or when I have to see clients.
Thanks, looking forward to popping in here for advice as and when I need it. And for the odd craic
the 1299 is like a super model, you keep having to look at it everytime you bring it out I find ( its sad but true).you might find the 6000 rpm for the first 650 miles running in a pain, but to be honest the bike pulls from low revs and getting upto 10k on the road is difficult as the speed and riding experience is mind blowing especially if you have or get akras.i found replacing the front and rear fender to carbon fibre has improved my super model haha.lastly watch out for those fuzz cameras.
I can't wait to get it out on the road and get some admiring looks. MY M4 is in Yas Marina Blue and I get people staring at it everyday :tearsofjoy: I'll try and rattle through the 650 miles but will probably take me until the end of summer, if summer carries on the way its started! Struggling to find competitive insurance, cheapest is around £750-800
yea but you are a youngster compared to a lot of us haha. I'm 46 and it was 400 quid for me. I went through the bike insurer comparison site. think that's about right really I'm afraid. if you went for the s model its in the thousands stupid money.
Yes thats gorgeous! But for me, there are only two vehicles i'd chose to buy in Red. A Ferrari, or a Ducati. One down, onto the next one! :tearsofjoy:
