Evening - after some advice please. I'm relatively new to Trackdays and have only done the Ducati days over the last couple of years but I now have the bug and would like to do more. Wondering who runs the best (safest and best organised) days? I'm in the pack in the intermediate group on the Ducati days (pass a few, get passed by a few) and like the fact that everyone seems pretty well behaved. I have an 1199S with full Termi system so I guess noise is going to be a problem.
Been doing trackdays for the last 16 years and you find dickheads in every event, but No Limits are my favourite.
I like No Limits, would rather cut my own balls off than do another Focussed Events one, and I know many others feel the same! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Do yourself a favour. Do europe. Look up redline trackdays. Seem a great crowd no limits were always great but have become the BP of trackdays...
I agree with European track days more relaxed 3-4 days on track to learn the circuit, but you can't get away from somebody who thinks his next Barry Sheene.Bloody good fun though and no chance of losing your driving licence.
Depending where you are, some of the tracks organise their own too Msv run their own days as do Silverstone Personally, I've done nolimits days, Focussed events days and Silverstone's own days at that track, and they're all largely the same track time and number of flags, which is the main thing if you wanted direct comparison The guy that runs Focussed events rubs a lot of people up the wrong way, but if you just turn up and ride without having to interact with him, their days are pretty decent I'm booked to cartegana later this year with no limits as I've heard their Euro days are very good, and redline are well thought of too
Agreed.... Trouble is I'm buggered with working away a lot. I'll be doing Donington with these throbbers on 12th July. 1st one with this lot in ages so It'll be interesting so see if they've eased off a bit. Last time out I remember sighting laps after lunch ffs!
I've been doing trackdays for years and have to say I prefer No Limits however in defence of Focused they run track days, they dont ride them. If there are stoppages its because of the numpties on the track not the people who hire the track and organiise the day. You'll find that you go with the organiser who is running the circuit on the date you can do to be fair. On Euro days I've done NL's every time because their use of stillages for the bikes gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling.
Euro days run by NL are much better organised and more customer focused than FE IMO. With NL the day always starts on time and excellent coms up and down the garages. With FE there's a pervasive "you got 4 days" les affaires attitude though out the staff. The upside is that people seem to be voting with their feet and avoiding FE, which on the events I've attended this year has lead to very low attendance and smaller groups.
We'll be trying BBS at Jerez in September and are hoping for good things as people speak very highly of them. Andy
Used No Limits and FE for the Euro stuff..... Then switched to Tracksense. And that was it, Tracksense all the way. A few quid more but better by miles.
Cool. Pop over and say hello. I'll be on a (mainly) white and black 1098R. Can't miss me, handsome as fcuk.
Mrs T has inconveniently booked a holiday in the middle of the track day season - how inconsiderate!!! Enjoy!!
Since Brixit old laws apply. You can now beat her with a stick no thicker than your thumb....No need to be cruel...ompus:
