848 Ecu Reflash

  1. Ok ta mate.

Well you have read through the thread and seen what I have done, I know you do a lot of tuning so is rather adept in the field.
    Any comments ?

  2. Correct. Have you got your stock map? Really handy to have it so that you can return your bike to stock should you want to sell it. If you got a second hand ECU you could sell the Tuned ECU and Exhausts as a package.

  3. You should be seeing the benefits from the modified mapping. It is a good compromise over a full custom tune. My own bike is tuned for road use and was done over a month. It involved recording data for both cylinders. Uploading modified maps until goal achieved. Now got much smoother throttle and an extra 10 mpg.

  4. No I haven't got the stock map but it probably wouldn't be hard to source an ecu with standard map.
To be honest I have bought the bike as a keeper not as 2-3yr thing then flog and upgrade, I have the 1199s as well.
When I asked for your comments I was meaning along the lines of have I gone down the right route or should I have gone for full custom remap.
Would I see much more benefit from some final tweaking.
Bear in mind the map used is a custom map on a bike that has had the full works dyno.

I am putting mine on a dyno 8th April to see what it is putting out for curiosity's sake.
848 Evo Corse SE full system with a customised fuel map (albeit from another evo with same setup)
What should I be looking for for a final HP figure Rear wheel ?

  5. Ah while I was typing I see you have answered partly sorry

  6. Yes I have seen the benefit of smoother throttle and more miles to the tank, mind you it was ridden home fairly hard but an extra 25 miles till the fuel light came on so yep well pleased.

  7. Just reading this thread as I'm trying to fit a Ducati quickshifter to my 1198S. and think that this may be part of the solution,
I've struggled to find all the answers on various forums but i have a few questions that hopefully you may be able to answer?
I'm quite happy with the Termi ecu as it is, as i certainly don't want any more power at the moment but from what i understand I have to flash my ECU with the SP file as this has the DSQ activated whereas the S doesn't (the wiring is already there)
Is it possible to get an individual map from rexxer, or can i only get them if i use their hardware?
and can i flash the ecu using a Bluetooth OBD or does it have to be a hardwired unit. some threads i've researched say that the BT units can only read info and aren't able to re-programme them.
I've also got various questions about the actual hardware as well, but I'll get to that in another thread.

  8. I'm doing with with mine. I grabbed a quickshifter off an EVO, grabbed one of the sp maps to activate the quickshifter. Mines a little different though, i grabbed a map with the 70mm exhaust as well, I might have one from a stock sp. Once you reflash it'll have the quickshifter option in your cluster display. Shifter plug was easy, and just ran the wires behind the coolant hoses and ziptied out of the way.

  9. I have a map for a Ducati 1198S that has Traction control and DQS activated. You can save the map that is in your bike now and flash the ecu with the map I can provide and using the links supplied by chrisw.

  10. Do you have software that reads the 1199s ECU ? I have a custom dyno map on mine that I would like to read and save.

  11. No sorry. Don't think there's anything out there at the moment that can read and write to the Mitsubishi MELCO
