Gregory Porter - quality

 

Viola Beach tribute was a nice touch though AL, can't see many bands doing that.

 

It gave the crowd a break, fair play to them.

 

I'm not a big Coldplay fan myself but credit where it's due and just like art, it's always going to be down to personal opinion rather than a factual statement as to how good or bad they are. If there are enough other people who enjoy their music then also fair play to them.

 

As a visual spectacle it was very good, great lights etc. I like there early stuff but the last 2-3 albums haven't done it for me.

 

ELO on the other hand.

 

But boy can he sing and bugger me Melanie Lewis his backing singer was worth looking at.

 

Gotta respect Jeff Lynne for his past achievements and his songwriting success but it is as though he is 'arrested in time' now.

 

He bloody must be he looks exactly the same as he did 40 years ago .................. & posh totty on the cellos

 

I was there, it was my tenth in a row.

I've only ever queued to get in once, never had anything stolen, never seen any trouble. Even the mud wasn't that bad, the media just like to play it up.
It's extremely well organised these days.

The music isn't really my taste generally and I spend a lot of time in the dance music areas (Arcadia is amazing) but Muse were outstanding and I really enjoyed New Order

 

Would that be the same New Order who did Blue Monday 30 years ago ? Andy
