Are you living in some kind of parallel universe to the rest of us? Everything the Remain camp threatened has not materialised....even Gorgeous George has rowed back on his emergency budget threat! IF the BBC is to be believed,(and I don't),the vast majority of those who voted to leave are those with EXPERIENCE,something that can only be gained with time. And another thing that comes with time is PATIENCE: the UK has not left the EU,(yet),and will not do so until after years of protracted negotiations. Also, those of us who want to cut the ties will not get everything we'd hoped for, thats the way of the world,it's well understood, and it's a damn shame that the Beeb and their political paymasters don't get it. It's easy to find a few people who agree with your political bias, film them and then show it on TV .conveniently forgetting to show those who dispaly a different opinion. Such a shame that some people were so easily swayed by shallow threats and Facebook trends, otherwise there would be a far a greater number who voted leave... So instead of imagining how others must be feeling after voting Leave, why not tell us how you feel after voting remain and all those threats you listened to appear to be empty?
you voted to leave when the dickhead who was representing you didnt even have a leave strategy lol hard to think of a dafter life choice tbh
One thing that has materialized is a plummeting pound. Since Friday morning its lost over 10% against the dollar, nearly 15% against the yen and 8% against the Euro. And that is despite Bank of England intervention.
...we need a government of national unity......and we need it fast! unfortunately, I don't see any of our current careerist politicos standing up for this........see,s such an obvious solution.
Stop listening to headlines and go and look at the currency charts over the last 5 years if you want to get some real perspective. You might also ask yourself what the EU did in 2013 to prompt the € to fall off a cliff vs the $.
Nicola is the tail that is trying to wag the dog again. 15.2m in England vote to leave 1.7m in Scotland vote to stay.
it would seem the leavers don't think of our present or future (or their children's) they just hark back to this golden age that didnt actually exist
Could you get any more sanctimonious? So 52% of the country 'didn't think' and only the Remainians are the enlightened?
Not being sanctimonious, just stating a fact. The leave campaign duped you into think they actually had an exit strategy, when in fact they didn’t have one. If you feel im being sanctimonious in stating that then perhaps youre feeling a bit cheated right now (along with quite a few others it would seem)?
I wait with baited breath. For an actual plan from the outers. When it comes THEN I might have a sigh of relief. It might be a democratic result. But would like to see an actual, factual exit plan.
Listening to BBC news this morning all I heard was presenters (and that old twat Michael Heseltine) talking about "crisis", "catastrophe", "chaos" etc. - if they can't be objective (if not positive) in their language they should be taken off air.
She can't sfford to do this, though John. If Scotland is out and has to rejoin, it's with the Euro as the currency. A prospect so toxic that she can't possibly win a referendum. Hence her desperate straw clutching at the moment. This doesn't take into account that the question of which currency an independant Scotland would have used in the event of Scotland leaving the UK wasn't answered last time. We just saw a lot of threats about debt sharing from Salmond if it wasn't alowed the pound. How could an independant Scotland inside the EU using sterling work? Paying into the EU coffers, having responsibility towards bali outs etc. It's impossible in my eyes. The sooner a new leader of the Conservative party is chosen and Article 50 is set in motion the better. Lets get through all this nonsense. **Sorry of some of this has already been said @johnv , I've been away for a few days and I'm just catching up with interest.
