  2. Hi

I had similar problems last summer, and Ducati official service could not get the upmap key working, they did try it for like 1 hour, then i did drived Ducati Helsinki (Official importer). There it was like 15 min job.. Ask from your Ducati service do they have latest update for DDS 2.0 tester, for my case it was that the Ducati official service did not had latest updates in their DDS 2.0 tester. Ducati up map key is not any software, it only activates installed race software on your bike, you need upmap key and dds 2.0 connected and asking permission from Ducati servers to activate race software.

  3. If the solution is that simple, someone needs a rocket up their arse. @Hyperextended, my understanding is that a custom remap will overwrite your stock map. Andy

  5. I have an interesting upmap issue albeit on my 1199 which had an engine cutting out issue...2012 bike owned by me since new with termi and upmap since new
Had the bike recovered to dealer after it left me stranded and while in getting repaired i decided to trade it in for a new MTS S touring.
So deal was done on the pretense that my 1199 wouldnt need much to sort.
Got a call from dealer saying bike had corrosion in a wiring loom plug and required a new loom....cost to me 1600 GBP...
I politely refused and collected bike in my van. 2 days later armed with a can on 6.99 GBP contact cleaner and some silicone grease i sorted the bike...stripped every loom plug and cleaned/sealed. Ran it 100 miles and all good.
Took the bike back to dealer to get it scanned again to see if all faults cleared.....After scan dealer said all faults are cleared now ( was showing canbus fault because of corroded plug) but also said 2 new exhaust valve faults showing????
I told him the upmap and cans which my bike has should delete the exhaust flap so it should not be looking for it...
At this point i fired up the bike and low and behold no RACING icon came up on the dash on start up.
Dealer plugged bike back in and now my bike has the standard ecu map????? The other issue is that i never received the actual upmap dongle when i got my bike...
Dealer says the upmap dongle would be useless as it takes the original map off the bike and swaps it with the upmap from the dongle so my upmap key (dongle) would have the original map on it anyway.......
He said he would try and get a new code from ducati to get the upmap ecu flash put back on the bike so i am awaiting an update..
Have noticed the bike backfires now on the overrun slightly but cannot understand how it could default ( as the dealers says) back to original ecu map????
Need the upmap back on the bike as it will be up for sale when my new MTS arrives...
Apologies for the long winded post but its a strange issue and i cant be sure at which point in the proceedings the ECU defaulted beack to original settings...ie when they had it plugged into their software or when i had the loom apart......although we all agreed it shouldnt happen either way....
    Confused!!!!

  6. I understand you saying your dealer gets no support from Ducati technical

But in all fairness they should be able to carry out a simple upmap program without any assistance

Have you thought about trying another dealer..?

  14. I have some from my 2011 , will dig them out for you.
Not had my DVT done yet , I certainly will be doing though.
the difference was significant enough to notice immediately

  15. Not sure if this link works as I am at work ( hard at it ) :)
however as explained its my old bike that had the latest and greatest Ducati generic map for a full termi system.
The guy at Hilltop changed it quite a lot and had the rear cylinder running a few points richer than the generic map , fair bit of fire came out the back on the over run , but I quite liked that :)
It definitely made a difference and if you take cash and a few mates , you can make quite a saving on the original cost.
I travelled well over a 100 miles to see the guy , such was his reputation , and he clearly knew his stuff ( and Ducatis)
