  8. Maybe just me but first thing I thought was 'wheel barrow handles' a least I'd be able to pick it up and wheel it into the garage. :Cigar:

  9. Most likely this is the Centenary Superleggera replacement. Maybe.

  10. That was my thought previously, there's no way of telling if it's a 1299 updated Superlegera or a new 1199R. I'd obviously love to have a Superleggera but it's way out of my price league for something that I want to ride hard on track. An improved R at the same price point on the other hand will be a b*stard! That said this R is already feeling amazing and I'm itching for some decent weather to get back out on it so nothing to really complain about.

  11. Those are the optional Akras. I wonder if the standard exhaust will be to the same pattern? Not sure how they will do that and meet Euro4 unless the under seat pipes are bigger (uglier)...

  12. There was an article on crash.net where Scott smart (WSBK technical director) had been interviewed and he said that technically speaking and by the ruling. It states the bike in WSBK must have 'the same number of exhaust as on production' which explains why the old r1 a few years back pre Big Bang used a fake silencer so there were two under the seat.

Anyway... It's possible this is a homologation special to satisfy some dispensation they were given.

Also the hub looks like it has some sort of alloy centre plate and then dark spokes, like it has a strengthened centre so it can be as light as possible.

The forks could be Ohlins but it's hard to see

  14. The SL's are lovely, they did get heavily discounted by some dealers due to cancelled orders. I was offered one when buying my first R.

  15. Slag ;)

  16. Id hazzard a guess that this will be the standard configuration for all 1299's after seeing how badly sales went of the 959 with the Euro4 pipes
After all, they can't sell the 1299's next year with standard pipes

  17. I agree to an extent.... Except the silencers will need to be larger, so it is still going to be a bit fugly...
