  2. Just my 2p worth... but if you're going to do it then do it right. That means new subframe and the lot. Anyone going mono > bip should note that I've just put up for sale a yellow bip setup in the for sale section.

Changing it all isn't more effort really, just a bit more expense but then you'll know you've done it right. Before and after posted below!

  3. Are you selling this? Can you PM me please.:)

  4. yes got no use with getting the race unit which goes on the bip

  5. Does anyone know where i can get a 999 biposto rear cowl that goes in place of the rear seat? Im not looking to change the tail to a mono but would like to have the cowl to switch out with the seat when desired. Any links to where i can get one would be appreciated . Thanks

  6. I dont think there is such a thing, instead it is a red seat.

  7. There is such a thing, I can't post a pic as its currently at the painters. You remove the seat pad and it takes it place..giving a support hump. I'll post a pic when I get it back (covid dependant)

  8. There is a place in Italy that sells them for about £300

  9. I've seen them on the bay for less than one hundred (just)

  10. Nice, a new thing since I had mine perhaps. I always did think the red seat looked shite. Good news.

  11. Kin el! Says Ducati on it does it

Most other marques a fraction of that.

  12. Used, not new surely?

  13. used yes!

  14. Mine is Bip to Mono. Agree - do it properly and it looks right. I have the entire Bip subframe with footpegs, seat and all assembled and hanging up (somewhere). 4 bolts and it swaps in.

However it may be a black swingarm thing, but mono subframes are getting expensive as they fracture all too readily. There's a thread on the topic.
Broken subframe pic below....repaired and strengthened (plus a spare) also shown. 2012-08-11 11.04.48.jpg 20160430_101418.jpg View attachment 204989
