Fellow members, Just to give you all the heads up on my Desmo which i am about to put on Ebay (im awaiting for a few account changes) in the next day or so. Early in the year i bought two bikes from a guy in Derbyshire, the Desmo was one of them, as he was downsizing his collection. Its a 'Team Colours' model. The bike has just over 15,000 miles on the clock but has been well looked after, it has been serviced by Ducati Sheffield and JHP. It is by no means a garage queen, it has been used and so is not perfect, but still excellent nevertheless, as the previous owner was pretty meticulous about servicing it. In 2014, when the bike was showing just over 12,000 miles the bike went to JHP for a major service, whilst there the owner decided to have the engine blue printed, i have receipts totaling just over £4500 for this. John Hacket worked on the bike himself from what the previous owner has told me, as they are good friends. Im waiting for the owner to mail me the pictures of the rebuild. The engine work certainly seems to have worked wonders on the engine. A few fellow Desmo owners have noted how the engine seems to rev much more freely/quicker than standard engines. I have all the extra's that came with the bike. Two sets of exhausts- road/race Factory CAT All manuals/service books etc Original cover/bag Alice sticker kit (unused in original box) Road/Race ECU Data analyzer X2 Keys Original Ducati box that exhausts/spare parts supplied in Rear stand Front stand (bought later) will throw this into the sale Chain is new and covered approx 10 miles Extra's Samco hoses, helps keep it a little bit cooler than normal hoses New bar grips Front fork bobbins I think this must be the cheapest Desmo in the country, the mileage is reflected in the price. All respect to the previous owner, he bought the bike of his dreams and used and enjoyed it. I have not had the time to ride it properly and have my eye on another bike so the Desmo must go to release much needed funds. Im not going to give it away, and have priced it accordingly, it must be the cheapest Desmo in the UK at this price, If you consider there was a seller in Germany asking 36k for a Desmo with a broken engine this is pretty well priced. Ducati DESMOSEDICI | eBay £38,000 Offers I will listen to offers, to be honest would prefer to sell to a forum member than be messed about by dreamers on Ebay. There is only one way Desmo prices are going to go in the next 5-10 years. Any questions contact me on the no below. Bike is in Ruislip, West London. 07866 431883
Can I ask why it has the Rosso belly pan on it? Mine did when I bought it as it had the GP07 exhaust on it and the Rosso belly pan came as part of the kit. I had the original 'Team' belly pan given to me with the bike. I've never seen one with a mis-matching belly pan without having the GP07 exhaust. Lovely bike by the way.
It came like that. I'm not an expert on Desmo's so didn't know until you mentioned it. I'm presuming the previous owner replaced it for reasons on he can answer. Will call him tomorrow and ask.
Lovely bike by the way.[/QUOTE] I know. I have been popping into the garage to look at several times during the course of the evening since owning it. My wife just laughs.
This might seem a cheeky question but is this vehicle yours? I see that you are selling it through an E-bay account that has a dissolved motor dealership. Can you prove that no outstanding monies are owed on it please and does it belong to you or the dissolved company.
It's ok, not a cheeky question. In 2010 I had a business Ebay account as I sold Sil Moto exhausts through the site. The company has long since packed up but eBay still has my account as a business account, having asked them several times to change back to a personal account I'm waiting for them to pull their finger out and get it done. The bike belongs to me I bought it cash. Hope that clears things up.
Hi Hi Tony. Thanks mate I spent quite a few hours cleaning it. 1098r is good, will be selling that soon also.
