What's funny about this is that it looks exactly like a piece of the destabilisation propaganda that he talks about, only from a very right-wing, anti-left, anti-government viewpoint. Surely that's exactly what you'd do: get hold of an ex-expert in Marxist-Leninist propaganda and say that any left-leaning views have been manipulated by it. That will demoralise everyone. You will remember how after 9/11, debate in the US was entirely shut down. You were either an American militarist, or siding with the terrorists. The Iraq war looked quite like their "Normalisation" after the "Crisis". And that is how it was sold to the US and UK electorates. It's good to be reminded of what is going on. Thanks.
heres a piece worth sharing Brexit: Scotland rejected the mantra of fear and loathing | Kevin McKenna | Opinion | The Guardian
just in the last five minuite.they said it wouldn't take long as there only taking the talented. not got your instructions yet? :smileys:
In my current job, I have a lot of slow periods with little to do to divert myself. As a result, I have developed a vile little habit, that of reading The Times "newspaper". I am not proud of this. What I read in that excuse for a news media outlet concerning Brexit sickened my stomach but I digress. However, by reading the paper, I have learned that racism is alive and well and living within the UK legal profession. There was a recent report of a Somalian male who had raped a woman some years ago. He went to prison but the deportation order that the Home Office wanted for the criminal once he had served his time was quashed upon appeal. NB, this is not the racist bit. The criminal in question was subsequently released from prison and promptly raped two more women, at knife-point. No, this isn't the racist bit either. In court, the criminal was most recently sentenced to, IIRC, ten years in prison. His defence lawyers pleaded for mitigation on the grounds that the criminal had been born and raised within a violent society and had had no opportunity to learn how UK law and customs relate to, amongst other things, the crime of rape. Now *that* seems racist to me. Have a little think about these facts, as reported in The Times newspaper, and what it all means, if the story is true. Or, if you decide that the story, by virtue of appearing in a newspaper, is necessarily false, I won't blame you one bit.
all things i guess need to be explored or tested in a court. i guess it also needs to be reported. do you feel it was reported responsibly?
