1299 New Ducati 1299s Anniversario

  1. Out of interest, why is this something people are after over a panigale r? For me it's because it's a 1299s with a bit of exclusivity as the electronic changes aren't massive and the weight saving is mainly from the battery.

I'm not knocking it, just wondering if the panigale r is still the 'one to have'?

  2. 36 or so. UK Dealers

  3. Good Question. I'm guessing but maybe, Appx. £4K cheaper, limited numbers (like 30ish in the UK), last Euro3 Panigale, looks great and potential higher residuals than standard versions, possibly more than the R!. Probably some buyers see this as a bit of a collectors version. Dunno really, but for some reason I want one more than the R. :)

  4. in this case i am not gonna get one. have to say i am very surprised on the dealer count. how they all survive?

  5. Anyone want an MV Agusta F4RC ?
    I want the Ducati !

  6. 1 advertised in NZ as well.

  7. But that literally is just a paint job and a bike cover at best, absolutely no change to the bike. Also they went limited like the f4, only the fact u can't find a dealer keeps them that way.

  8. For me personally its more the case on what it has over the s,after spending the afternoon on the s at silverstone a few weeks ago i was smitten and was looking at getting a s but i think the s is so expensive for what it actually is and it is very plain looking,i also have a soft spot for tricolor paintwork and gold wheels,i think the anni just looks right and Ducati have done a good job looks wise and with proven underpinnings and a few trinkets its price sits fairly against the s,also being a proper numbered ltd run and not being a end of line bling up model is a bonus,as been said before this may well be the last of the classic euro 3 bikes(i do prefer the mk1 panni fairings). Why not the r ? i think @royalwithcream summed it up well in his write up buy saying the electronic Ohlins is better for a road focused bike also the 4k saving helps.
On a totally different subject,Ducati extended warranty is now back in action £350 for 1 year or £650 for two.

  9. Looks the business Whats the Price bet you need Gas & Air if you buy one :-

  10. I agree, Ducatis with gold wheels look great and I think the paint job is ace but also I think the 1299 engine is probably the better one for the road. I wonder if dealers will sell more 1299s as a collateral of all the interest.

  11. What with free track sessions,WDW and ltd editions you cant fault Ducati,s marketing approach, its certainly stirred up interest on here and other forums,by the end of the week our friends in china will have decal kits on ebay.

  12. Just had a phone call from my dealer , quite correct one per dealer and I have definitely got one,I am in quite a good mood today

  13. Did they allow people to use their £1000 vouchers from the track star days against these orders? If so even more of a good deal.

So if your dealer calls and breaks bad news that you won't get one are they giving the deposits back or trying to get you to take an S?

Plus side for 1299/S owners is the imu and sensor set up is the same so the evo electronics could be rolled out next year as a software update.

  14. Same as me, was told confirmation of order in about 2 weeks.

  15. I ordered and paid deposit Monday morning so fingers crossed.

  16. I have the voucher but it ran out on the 1st July, I did ask the question.

  17. Fingers crossed for everyone with a order, I email my order on Sunday night after the press pics, that appears to have been a good move, I am sure a few unsold ones will filter to the uk, the us market seem pretty negative towards the bike on the forums .

  18. I did the same and hopefully it was enough to secure one. I understand Ducati UK may secure more bikes due to the apparent demand so hopefully a few more hitting these shores. Good luck to those with orders in, I think you'll be very pleased with your purchase, if you get one... :upyeah:

  19. While I could never afford one itll be nice to see pics of the ones that have made it into the country - I'm guessing riders in Bristol will get one allocated but itll probably never be seen (closest dealer to me)

However I might add that the posted conversations begging for new toys are brilliant as most of the angles attempted at purchase options (and replies) I've experienced many times myself.
