1199 Crash Protection

  1. I want to add a bit of crash protection to the pani especially after the state I saw one after the Ducati day at Silverstone.

    I already have some fork and swing arm bobbins and was going to get some GB engine covers and frame sliders - they definitely saved my RSV4 and after a 60mph low slide it was still rideable with only a few scratches on the track fairings.

    Does any one know of something more aesthetically pleasing than the horrible R&G aero bobbins?

  3. Check out Evotech Performance. They make high quality protection equipment. They make some frame sliders for the Panigale but I don't know if they can be fitted together with the GB engine covers.

  4. Having similar thoughts for my bikes. The sliders have saved me from damage a couple of times on the 1199 but I can't bring myself to put them onto the R. I've gone for the engine covers and fork bobbins but still considering the sliders as I'll regret it if it ever does go down. The other thing is I reckon it helps protect the tank from damage as well which would be a £2k bill if it was knackered.

  5. Hi buddy - I think you were referring to the R&G tank and tail sliders? I was trying to find an aesthetically pleasing crash bobbin?

  6. No I mean the frame aero crash sliders. I have the tank sliders and no tail sliders and the couple times the bike has been down the aero sliders have saved it.

  8. I have the big R&g ones on the 1199s . They have definitely been worth the money; just a shame they are so massive. That said when I low sided at Rockingham last year it did wear right through one side so they were needed.

  9. I saw a bike with some slim looking ones that looked a lot neater than the R&G but for the life of me I cant find them on the net!!!
