could i swap one or two of my children for one or two of your bikes? They're still fairly small so are good at cleaning the areas around the headstocks because of little hands........ consider it at the very least........PLEASE
just counted dealers, you are right - 36 in uk. but for some reason my dealer told me that 32 will deffo get 1 bike each, so maybe 4 of the dealers didn't sell any?

The dealer my mate deals with also seems to think more will come to the UK than allocated by Ducati. The extra bikes, he says, will come from Europe as demand doesn't seem as great. However, this was last Wednesday so things might have changed since then. I'll have a chat with my dealer on Monday and see what he says. Best of luck Bud.
i am going on hols to US in august and just realised that i will be staying 2 miles away from ducati dealer there. wonder if i don't get one in uk, can i order one from US dealer while i am there but get bike delivered to UK direct from Italy????
I think there is a certain amount of Ducati induced hype about this bike after all its put out there to sell Panigale,s and get them on the front pages,if i remember there were a few Desmo's and sl's hanging around for a while after they said all were sold.I just hope the ones that are sold get used and not parked up in a snooker room.
Just spoke to dealer in US where I will be staying in August. They sold 2 and totally positive they can get me one if I want to order from them. Delivery direct from Italy is not an option but they can deliver to uk once bike lands with them. I prefer for my local dealer to make money out of this deal thou... So will wait.
Well, I paid my deposit and my official order was logged with Ducati. I was the first at my local dealer and have therefore bagged myself an early Christmas present. Hope you all are successful too
I agree and I'm convinced the number allocated per country is for "planning purposes". Ducati are flexible enough to send bikes where demand is the highest. My mate spoke to his dealer who had six orders and was convinced he could get another for my him. Plus, I'm sure they'll be some who've paid a deposit but don't complete on the purchase. I'll speak to my dealer next week and see what he says.
I think you are right, I bought my Bayliss 1098R months after Ducati said they were sold out. I approached my dealer for a standard 1098R and he mentioned Ducati had 2 X Bayliss left and I did a deal - it was £5k less than list price for a brand new, unused, un-registered one.
I think big difference is: 1098r|1098rTB|1198r come out during massive recession when no fucker had any money hence unsold TB's and only 70 x 1198r made ( good for me) . Right now plenty of money about and chances are all those 500 bikes are actually sold. Not super fair that US gets 6 times more bike than UK thou..,
Yeah, that's true but things are still fucked in Europe hence I'm not sure about the number of bikes allocated there. As for the USA, the Anniversario just doesn't seem to generate the same amount of interest as the UK. At least you have an option but I hope you don't need it.
If I could get it passed the Missus, I'd go for both but that would mean far too many handbag purchases in order to compensate !
