Hi Guys I have read through various threads on exhausts. I Have the carbon termi slip on fitted can i fit a decat pipe without retuning/remappimg issues. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Other more knowledgeable people will reply but I think that combination will leave you with no silencer at all. Is that what you intend?
You can fit a de cat pipe! i had one myself! The bike will go better! You will need a spring on the end of the exhaust valve cable, or will need to de-activate the exhaust valve via the ECU. Oh and she will be louder than your first girlfriend ever was, like as in MEGA loud...but oh sooo nice!
I have a mivv end can that blew apart and was replaced under warranty, I'd part with it if you want to trim edges and put back together and try
will fit later as getting bracket powder coated, not sure but the bracket for the centrestand looks different (as pic) View attachment 7556
Yes, that is totally different. I'm very pleased with that, as I suggested they make a "hole" to accommodate the original rubber stopper/bung to stop the "metal on metal" clash of the original stop. It looks like they DID take on board my feedback and suggestions.
Yes that is different to how mine arrived But having said that i dont have a centre stand, so i cut mine off anyway !
It might be worth you getting some stainless bolts for the cf heel protector - mine have rusted and it has seeped into the weave :-(
Don't put the honeycombed type ones in they seriously rob the power. The ones that fit in the end cans are fine though. Power lost but not too much. Without them it's just ridiculous. It's a laugh for a while but very tiring for both rider and pedestrian.
Originally yes...loud enough. But then I took them out... and, uhm, well, cough, erm... they seem to never have been put back in! Must have mislaid them. It is VERY loud, but somehow incredibly addictive... try it. Only you will know if it is too loud, but it makes the most incedible deep booming sound. It reminds me why I love big v-twins so much. It sounds like it should, and lets the bike growl and bark. I'll probably put the baffles back in eventually, but for now I'm just enjoying the sound.
