Had my Neotec for a couple of years now, and to be honest it has never leaked when I've been caught in the rain. Rode about 40 miles in steady rain this week, and no leaks....
Further follow-up on my previous update on an earlier thread on my Shark Evo 1, which was having visor/pinlock scratching issues on the inside face of the visor. Having sent the Helmet back to the manufacturer, who acknowledged the issue, they returned the helmet with a replacement visor + pinlock. Additional 'instructions' provided in the packaging from Shark as to how to lift up and then replace the visor down, which to me seemed somewhat patronising to say the least, but guess what! On removing the protective plastic film from the front of the visor this afternoon, whilst re-attaching the Sena unit to the helmet, it was really easy to see, that even before I've used the helmet after 'rectification' by Shark,, the inside face of the pinlock is scratched......:Arghh: So the moral is, if you buy one insist that Shark have re-designed the helmet and fixed this issue before you buy and if you haven't experienced this problem yet, then I think you might be one of the 'lucky-ones'. Ignore any of my previous +ves as this has superseded them all :Bawling:
I have had C3 pro and 3 Shoei Neotec lids also tried the new Schuberth E1 but for me its the Shoei they are made so much better the plastics on the C3 are nowhere near as good as the Shoei IMHO. Also the sun visor is big thing for me and Neotec lids are made with that in mind like all helmets there never perfect but you can get a custom fit if you buy from a good Shoei dealer.
Got a Shoei Neotec imminent and love it. Great fit doesnt leak and excellent quality, also comes with a pinlock. Has the correct padding to take a comms system ! Couldnt be happier
Has anyone got the Schuberth E1? I'm consider it. Mutley rider....upright...not racing. Noise and comfort are important as well as keeping me head safe. Your collective wisdom please. My lovely Arai is unwell having had it's strap cut by an over eager Emergency service....It wasn't even scratched! and it was already off my head. Back to Arai via Motolegends.
Totally agree with this, as I have one and have tried several others, but always come back to Shoei Neotec as it does it all for me, but what I have noticed is, it is very much a personal preference thing rather than what others say, so have a go and see what suits you.
