  1. what other bits ????????????///

  2. pulling your leg mate, i forgot to say its an old k2 which i use as a track bike. but il still swap it if ya like?? :tearsofjoy:

  3. Do like most of us do and buy another one.. :)

Its only money that you can not take with you.

I have a Multistrada and a Scrambler - both are way fast enough to loose your licence.

The scrambler likes to be ridden hard - its limits (power / speed) come just before my limits - so its a good match.

The multi is happy being ridden calmly or pushed - my limits come before its in terms of handling / power / speed.

  4. As in the practicality. I.e what I wanted out of a bike.

  5. Ha ha yeah, no really a fair swap huh

  6. Just go out and enjoy it - it only goes as fast as YOU make it go :grinning:. Yes, it does take a while to get used to and, therefore, it's wise to give yourself a "period of adjustment". When you do get used to it, you'll be very happy you didn't get rid of it.

  7. When I bought my 848 Evo Corse I thought I'd bought the wrong bike. Took me 3 weeks riding to get used to it!

Persevere. You won't regret it :)

  8. I rode a 1199 a few years ago and was pleasantly surprised at how easy and unintimidating it was to ride, the throttle does go both ways, mind it does cook your legs.

Have you ridden a Multistrada ?

  9. No one rides them. They just moan about them. Silly Billy :)

  10. Well I cannot deny any of that mate!!

  11. No to the multistrada I haven't ridden, yes to cooked legs and Ive done 200 miles on the m25 filtering which is a pain in the arse. But yes its a realitely easy bike to live with & ride - agreed, just not under 50 moh, but that's the same with 996/748's etc

  12. took me a wee while to get used to my 749 , but the faster it went the more i got to like it,, now love it..

  13. Sounds like the problem's not the bike. It's you. Stop spoiling it for yourself and get out and ride.

  14. Really appreciate the input lads its what I expected, mixed, and correct as well. What doesn't help is my metal plates & pins holding me together - I expect I will have it up for sale shortly. I will offer it up here I expect to an enthusiast at a decent price of around £9500 I expect - with a hopeful suggestion of a PX of something more comfy.....another duke maybe?

  15. Go in with an open mind, try loads of bikes and you may be surprised at what you find you enjoy riding & owning the most .

  16. Think I need 3 bikes ideally

  17. I need 5 + a project, it's not an easy sell to the wife.

  18. Hold on to it till the new supersport comes out next year?

  19. do a track day on it your bloody love it then!!

  20. They are too much for the road. I have done about 4k miles on mine and several track days.. On track is really where they belong
