  1. I would trust the contents of The Sun before anything on "How many Left?"

  2. Ducati Italy confirmed to me that there were 870ish 1098R's made.
    • I'm sure the USA got 450 numbered bikes
    • If the UK has 130.....
    • .....That means the rest of the world got 290 between them.
    • I find that hard to believe too.

  3. I don't think all the numbered USA bikes made it over there, mine was late (UK) registered on a 2011 plate and has the yoke plaque 282/450.

  4. Is it Left Hand Drive? :)

  5. Yes and I can't get it to go any faster than 55mph

  6. 130 was including TB's which works out 130 out of 1400odd of 1098r's in total which is sounds like correct percentage number to me

  7. Ah, you never said TB's. I'm sure "How Many Left" lists them separately.

The figures look like they could be right if that's the case.

  11. I've seen two Troy's on the IOM this week. One looks to be a fake one but the one I saw tonight looked like a proper R.
Anyone on here? Saw about an hour ago in a petrol station between Ballaugh and Sulby.

  12. Quickest way to tell (I find) is to check the steering damper mounting bracket to the frame. If it's bolted on, it's an 'R', if it's welded on, it's an 'S' or base.

  13. Shirley the easiest way is to check for the numbered plate on the headstock?

  14. 1098R's don't have one, only the Bayliss bikes.
