Ducati Italy confirmed to me that there were 870ish 1098R's made. I'm sure the USA got 450 numbered bikes If the UK has 130..... .....That means the rest of the world got 290 between them. I find that hard to believe too.
I don't think all the numbered USA bikes made it over there, mine was late (UK) registered on a 2011 plate and has the yoke plaque 282/450.
130 was including TB's which works out 130 out of 1400odd of 1098r's in total which is sounds like correct percentage number to me
Ah, you never said TB's. I'm sure "How Many Left" lists them separately. The figures look like they could be right if that's the case.

I've seen two Troy's on the IOM this week. One looks to be a fake one but the one I saw tonight looked like a proper R. Anyone on here? Saw about an hour ago in a petrol station between Ballaugh and Sulby. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Quickest way to tell (I find) is to check the steering damper mounting bracket to the frame. If it's bolted on, it's an 'R', if it's welded on, it's an 'S' or base.
who was in twickenham this morning on 1098R commuting just before 9am? i was on panigale and we looked at each other (romantically)
