Hi, I recently bought a pair of braking by Oz wheels for my 999S but am really confused with the spacers on the rear! On the sprocket side there is a captive spacer which sits in the centre of the sprocket but it has a tapered top where it meets the swingarm. There is also a black spacer that sits on top of that making the gap another 3 to 4 mm on the sprocket side. It's impossible to fit with the black spacer as well as the brake caliper mount fouls the rear disc and if I don't put the black spacer in the silver captive spacers tapered edge is wearing into my swingarm! Anyone any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Or had a set of these wheel kits and can point out what I'm doing wrong. I can get some photos if it helps. My standard Brembo wheel fits no problem at all.
Should the tapered side go towards the wheel. Thats how they go on monster etc. The thin part of spacer meets the inner bearing then.
It's not a usual spacer like the spacer on my standard wheel it has 2 cylinders either side of a thicker part in the middle. And the black cylinder oval cap to fit on one of the cylinders as well. I'll get a photo when I get home as its hard to describe.
I've just figured it out. The spacer goes in from behind and the cap sits on top. I always tinkered with it fitted to the wheel but at least it's sorted so I can stop panicking in every bend that the back wheels not on right!
