Back in the ring! Possibly.....

  1. Had a 748 nicked back in '09 and then it's replacement 748 nicked a coupla weeks after buying it and ended up going to Aprilia as it was the only bike (sports) I could afford at the time (was recently out of a job).
Now finally back in full-time work and with the Mille acting up, possibly just mixture on throttle bodies need setting up, I fancy a change.
Been thinking of either a Honda SP-1, Yamaha R1 or a Ducati 748. Was thinking of another Mille as they can be got for cheaper than any of the others, but just fancy a change of bike if possible.
I was actually gonna say summat else, but hell if I can remember what it was....

  2. Hello and welcome, hope your search comes up with the bike you want. It took me 6 months to find mine but it was worth it!

  3. Cheers Mr Arch'!

Search has been quick as it's budget rather than a spec sheet (although reading through some of the threads on the site I don't know if I should be saying that out loud, what with the attitude swap that came with Ducatisti forum change)

  4. Hello and welcome back
    It's mad here
Go on you know you want one in red :)

  5. Deffo a red one!

Wouldn't want one of them slow yellow ones

  6. Welcome. Plenty of surprisingly decent bargains (IMHO) to be had right now, as can be seen in the classifieds here. Watch out, though, as carbon gets hold and you wonder where all the pennies go to!

  7. Why 748 (lacking torque vs Mille).
Why not 916 (and all the others in that shape) or 999 (unloved by some - not me - but brilliant bike)?

  8. Yep, I do remember the fun searching for all things carbon and seeing if there were ways to fit factory parts too..

Looking at a 748 for budget reason really. Cheaper in general and cheaper on insurance. Looking to do a 996 engine swap at some point though.

  9. Welcome. ooh SP1 I quite like those, but as this is a Ducati Forum.....

  10. So what's your budget? There's a few in autotrader, a lot of yellow ones and a few red with prices up to £12k for one with 1 mile on the clock!

  11. hi :)///welcome
