Does anybody have a recommendation for supply or fitting of paint protection film? I want to apply some to the oil cooler surround and a few other areas of my Monster 1200R. Have never used it before, but I've seen some installed on other bikes, so I would be grateful of some advice.
I did my Streetfighter with the Ventureshield kit. It is fiddly when you haven't done it before, but you quickly get used to it. I found plenty of water / detergent sprayed onto the Ventureshield & panel before hand helped when moving the film into it's final position (My supplier said a light mist would do the trick, but I found the adhesive on the Ventureshield sticking to the panels before I had it in the correct position). Then squudgie all the water from under the film. My Ventureshield dealer gave me a few off cuts to practice with, which was helpful to get used to handling the stuff. Start with the flatter panels until you get the hang of it. If I was doing a sports bike with full fairings, I'd be tempted to get it done by the professionals. Avoid finger prints on the adhesive side of the film too.
