wasnt it @Flatfish on here who said lorenzo struggles on Michelins and was promptly derided? seems to have been quite a decent shout
What @Flatfish actually said, and I don't think they were derided for it, it was just pointed out that out of the 3 top riders in the championship, Rossi had the worst record this season on Michelins. Since then, the gaps have widened. When I saw the rain on Sunday, I promptly stuck £10 on a Rossi win as usually he's there or there abouts. I don't know why he didn't come in when his pit board said 'BOX' for a few laps before he pitted. You could see him looking over at it laps earlier too, so it's not like he didn't see it. Jorge had a nightmare, no doubt about it. His head looked battered on the Friday and he never recovered. And on the subject of my bet. My accumulator of Andy Murray & Serena Williams to win Wimbledon, Chris Froome to win the TDF and Marc Marquez to win the MotoGP championship is looking more promising.
At the moment, both Marquez and Lorenzo have more 1st places than Rossi. Marquez has more 2nd places, Lorenzo has the same. Rossi has thrown it down the road more times in races than both Marquez and Lorenzo (well, once was a mechanical, so you can say the same amount of times as Lorenzo). In fact Marquez hasn't come off yet. :Wideyed: The Honda is also a bit of a beast to ride, to say the least. I don't get the rhetoric that Rossi is the 'Michelin Master' :Watching: Can someone tell me what I'm not seeing?
Rossi was definitely the Michelin master when he was having hand made tyres shipped over night from France to his specification (potentially available to others but built to exactly what he wanted from them, and for the next day!) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
