1098 Swing Arm In A 748?

Discussion in 'Builds & Projects' started by Odin, Jul 21, 2016.

  1. Hi anyone out there!
I am trying to fit a 1098 swing arm into a 748 frame and I believe it needs a bracket to lower the upper bracket attachment point on the frame. Doers anyone know where I can get one from or who can make me one?
cheers for looking and any help

  2. I can't make out what you are asking but @Nelson will help.

  3. Hi ducati dad
thanks for the reply, I ve not been very clear. The tie rod and rear shock attach to a rocker arm - this then fastens to the frame - but the points on the 748 frame are too high (by about 20mm) so it throws the geometry out. I some how need to attach it lower and have been told that people have made an adapter for it.

  4. Look on DucatiMS, there is a long thread on this including the adapter. Think there is a thread here as well.

  5. cheers! will check it out

  6. If you find anyone doing the adapter let me know as I have all the bits ready to do the same on mine

  7. will do, though I am going to look at the option of using a 996 rocker arm and flip it over. It looks like a cheaper and easier option
Will let you know how it goes
