Do they do a full system....to get rid of the monstrosity underneath? The CRT end can looks the best but, probably no baffles on that one...
That's the best aftermarket effort yet £700 doesn't seem bad if it's fully titanium - half the price of the akrapovic OEM Wonder how much it weighs?
I don't think it would be much louder as it keeps the main silencer etc under the bike and valve is still in place
I might be out of place saying this but I believe a correctly fuelled dyno'd bike will probably do just-as-good-a-job....all the bikes ive ever had on the dyno have used less fuel - and therefore (in my eyes) less emissions....
Not out of place at all, may be I'm out of place, but I wouldn't consider putting a bike in warranty, on a Dyno.
Not sure.... How many times have reviews commented (and people) commented on fueling and in turn the same when their bikes have been on the dyno... I know exactly how much mine is using as the journey is the same so I know when it's using less... Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
Although the Acrapovic homologated tail pipes are starting to come on eBay now for £700 (I do think the above is neater though). As for the weight, it will still be heavier than an under belly system by the weight of the tail pipes (because the Euro 4 under belly part weighs as much as the full under belly exhaust) The valve only makes a difference when it isn't going down the road. I think it would be quite a bit louder than the Euro4.
The first pics are lovely!! Really really like that a lot more than the Austin racing one, the pipe up to the end can just looks the correct size and live the way the ending turns outward Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I was wondering the weight compared to the DP akrapovic silencer. I know the 1299/US OEM one will be lighter still I've not seen one for £700 on eBay yet. I've heard of some dealers selling them for that much with the purchase of a bike. do you know who was selling them at that price?
It is going to be a Lot lighter than the 4kg (from memory) Euro 4 ones. I think the Akra ones are supposed to be 1.5kg lighter than those? Some dealers are giving them away free (it was a £500 upgrade when I bought mine). One popped up a few days ago on eBay as a private sale with a Buy it now of £700.
The leaner an engine runs the more NOx it produces. Harmful toxic gas. All modern cars run EGR systems to lower NOx production as the air from EGR has little or no oxygen present. Mapping your bike inevitably runs a leaner fuel mixture to generated more power, therefore contributing higher levels of NOx.
