Am currently converting my 899 into a track bike and have the opportunity to purchase an 1199 F/P linkage with ride height adjuster. Is this a worthwhile addition? Has anyone else tried it? Cheers,
Does that not just change the ride height between a couple of set positions? Would you not be better off with an adjustable rod (like the one Sato do) to be able to adjust to everything in between?
Think it's got an after market adjuster on it already (am seeing it tomorrow). Is the F/P linkage worth while. My 748 was very sensitive to to ride height, are panigale' stage same?
Not on the 899/959. That is on the 1199. Depends how sensitive you are as a rider! I don't think the F/P setting is all about ride height though. If you look at the position through which the link bar will act on it in the two settings it will change the leverage, so change the way it works the shock. Probably worth a Google search to check how those settings change things and if that is something you are after...
Found this..... http://ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/ohlins-rear-shock-f-or-p-setting.24663/ (Ours are fixed the same as the P setting, which appears to be the best option from the discussion anyway).
