Went out with the Wokingham chapter of TVAM for a training/observed ride today. 60 glourious miles this morning on great back roads. I think my observer paid me a compliment when he said I made the Multistrada look as light as a moped but certainly had fun 'making progress'. The afternoon run back was a disaster, all dressed for the summer and it tipped it down. 40 riders soaked to the skin and feeling cold ! Home now, put some dry pants and socks on (ah, bliss) and sitting in the Indian waiting for tea. Andy
Today my wife told me that sex is much better when you're on holiday. At least, that's what she wrote on the postcard
I took the Yamaha for a ride to try to dodge showers and get it up to 600 miles, Failed on both counts. I got wet and my mum rang while I was in Matlock offering a home cooked Sunday dinner, roast pork with crackling, so the ride was cut short in favour of a tasty meal. From Dancaster-Barnsley-Holmfirth-Holme Moss-Glossop-Chatsworth House-Matlock-Sheffield-and home. This looks.... Different,
Are they adjusted up on the small roller wheel ? Adjust up till brakes bind then let off two clicks Pull handbrake on progressively and drive car on road ( smoke em) trade terminology . Shoes just glaze over or never bedded down from initial fitting of shoes , the internal surface rusts over as they are not in proper use like the usual shoe / drum set up .
Yeah its had a full strip and clean with the shoes and drums roughed up with emery paper then a bit of driving using the handbrake to slow down, its in for retest on Tuesday.
I treated the 'R' to a full tank of my local petrol station's finest 97RON, then did a spot of sight seeing.
I noticed it lifting the front wheel on full throttle in 5th gear I think it does feel smoother on BP Ultimate 97
I phoned British Telecom today - "Hello, I want to report a nuisance caller" The operator said "Fuck, not you again."
Just got home after finishing work early and settling down on the sofa for a ziz when there was a knock on the front door. Courier says he has a package for me. Okay, not expecting anything so just hoping it's not a NOIP but low and behold, tickets for the Moto GP at Silverstone in September - wahoo . Andy
Arrived in Hockenheim Monday evening and had this mornings off so when to the Speyer Technika Museum. Bloody good place.
Mannhein just a few miles away is the sister museum, also well worth a look as it's got more of the tech stuff, and loadsa war stuff. Hockenheim close by also has a good motorsport museum.
Arrived in Budapest after towing my 996 down here. Got it locked up now and having a soak in the bath before going for dinner. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
on hols in Spain walking along the front...looking in all the cheap crap Chinese knock off stores...looks like they can't even be bothered to invent half decent knock off stuff any more... even my son said..."Gerald is a pretty rubbish name for a superhero?" on the plus side I bought a laptop stacked with stuff to watch and brough a series my mate recommended called "strange things" which is the best thing we've watched for I don't know how long... absolutely brilliant...top notch...just about to watch the last two episodes back to back..
