Is it democracy if you are voting for MPs who are being bought by those with money and or influence? You are only able to vote for the choices you are given, none of whom are really acting in your best interests. They always put their Party's interests first.

Christ on a bike, I clicked on the first link in Lightning's post. I feel like I need a shower now. I thought the Daily Express was scraping the barrel but I've seldom seen such a hideous collection of lies and racist stories since I followed a link that ended up on the EDL site. It quotes Katie Hopkins as a credible source for fuck sake. If that's the level of his political thought and argument I'm putting him on ignore from now on just in case I end up following a link similar.

And, btw, she is right: we do have an obligation to assist those who (lets be frank) we put in that position to start with. But it should start with the UN growing some balls and sorting Russia and Syria out. Aleppo has been cut off for weeks now, no humanitarian support at all, Drs working 20 hrs a day, no food or fuel, yet the amazing, all inclusive (and righteous) EU and UN do f*ck all. That is a travesty
