how much is everyone for their 959s,did anyone get a discount or is list the norm, with the season coming to an end is it wise to hold off and see what offers are out in the autum?
from trying to sell a bike I'd hold off until near christmas, practically gave my last bike away at that time
I would guess prices are likely to climb next year though due to the drop in the pounds value. I wouldn't leave it too long.
cant see them going up even with the pound dropping,is the euro exhaust not reducing the amount of bikes sold?
The £ has only dropped significantly in value against the euro this year after a recent climb. it's still on par with the same exchange rate against the euro from the last 3-4 years (circa 1.2/£) Therefore as the parts are manufactured in Europe, and most purchased locally near Bologna, it'd be nothing more than profiteering by Ducati if they did increase prices. I also think that it'd be commercially unwise as they're already punching above their weight in the price vs performance / satisfaction stakes, and I dare say they know it.
I got nothing off the list price, but did manage to get a few goodies chucked in and also decent discount on a few clothing items. Getting a pretty pants trade in price for it considering I've only had it 5 months !
I got mine for 12500 with free first service and 20% discount on a few bits so got a fair bit off the rrp and the service was a couple of hundred I think
Personally, for the sake of saving maybe a few hundred quid, I wouldn't wait, get one now and enjoy what's left of the (reasonably) good weather and long days
You should get them to knock around £750 off. Or at the very least get parts thrown in up to that value.
