So that is the one thing I'll learn today, ta. So are Ian Murray Motorcycles of Edinburgh and authorised Ducati Sevice Centre taking the piss or have they been taken in ? Andy
Hmm, has the later swingarm for sure, and shouldn't the r have a cf front mudguard? Is in great condition though.
Nope, not on a 2003 model they shouldn't - it has the magnesium H/Lamp housing. Apart from the obvious swap outs like the clutch the rest seems ok - but a painted frame means a full strip at some point in it's life.
It has an R frame at least - but the description for an official service centre is a bit off - missing the fact the frame has been painted and they don't even mention the later swing arm which to some would be an upgrade - in fact it was available as an official kit upgrade anyway!
Not sure the description is correct... "never raced" rear tyre looks like its been on a track but I have known to be wrong at times. Ducati 1199R Panigale in beautiful condition with lots of Ducati Corse upgrades | eBay
Was just drooling over the 1098R in Mr C's link then clicked on the Panigale and there really is no competition in the looks department. (IMO)
This is a very lovely thing but for me having lost all its originality, the one thing it is not, is a "rare 916 monoposta strada". VERY RARE EARLY DUCATI 916 STRADA MONOPOSTA TOTALLY MINT | eBay Andy
