Jono - are you sure it's a '97? The late '96 and '97s have a fairing vent for the rear cylinder... Or has the fairing been replaced?

Boy oh boy. I had a late model 900ss years ago. My missus and I went all over on it. I still miss it today. I have seen them for sale at very little money. Maybe it's time to replace the old girl just for giggles
Its now orange... due to a petrol spill affecting the black tank lacquer. I'll get it repaired next year.
A wee evening run out for mine whilst the weather was suitable. 500 mile round trip to Cock O' The North races at Scarsborough recently was a great little road trip that we enjoyed and the previous time i rode it. Great bike I'm enjoying again after engine replacement/rebuild last summer.
After a 7 year gap since my last SS, picked up this last weekend. Five hours of cleaning later it's looking pretty good and sounds even better..
