I had a season ticket for years, have never seen us win a thing, nothing, nowt. The way people go on, you'd have thought we've had some kind of fall from grace. I remember watching us in the old 2nd division with George Reilly and Tony Cunningham up front FFS. Then for years watched any decent players being asset stripped, zero investment being put into the club, a succession of 3rd rate managers. The early 90's turnaround after Sir John Hall got involved was good fun when at least the club had a go at it, but I still never saw a trophy. Now an owner who's main aim is to tart the stadium up like a Sports Direct carrier bag and use it as free advertising on TV without it costing him a penny. NUFC fans never expect much (you get used to disappointment), fans of some other clubs are calling for the manager's head because they haven't won a trophy in 18 months! So if you want to laugh at the fans, crack on. A loss in the 1st game of this season doesn't even register when you've stood on a cold terrace in 1979 freezing your nuts off watching Leyton Orient. For some, football started with SKY television. I wonder how Holmfirth FC are getting on? Or maybe Manchester United may be a more relevant question. :Facepalm:
I'm Naaaarwich , so this could be a bit of fun. Easy win for us on Saturday but I feel Blackburn played as poor as we played well if you get my drift. We'll see on our next game against Sheff Wed.

Ah right, the title was about 'The Toon' and how you were laughing at them. Nice body swerve. I was just wondering if you were still 'laughing your head off' as you were after 2 games as I did say in an earlier post that I'd watch with interest. But as you mention it, I'll keep an eye on the league status of both clubs over the coming season and get back to you next May.

They lost there first two matches. But to be fair to the barcodes they have done well since. However they are still in the 2nd division
