1998 Yamaha R1 Worth?

  1. The guy from facebook/car classics sorted it all out for me, knew this chap was after one, told him about it so put him in touch, but also put the add up on car and classics and he just said if i help you sell it you pay me some commission if you sell it then no commission. Without him i doubt i would have gotten what i wanted for it on ebay or bike trader. Plus it saved me all the hassle of advertising it myself and time wasters.

  2. remember though yours is not the iconic red and white :p

  3. Mine is the one everyone wanted as the red seat was for poofta's - and it's new and unregistered, might air on the positive side somehow I think;)

  4. A friend of mine has a 98 red white ( red seat) bike. He has owned it from new and it has covered 3000 miles. It is immaculate, I could of bought it for 3.5k last year but I had no idea they were worth this much. He still has it covered up next to his 916 sp 1984 ( I think) again owned from new and never ridden lol.

  5. Think your find that could be 94 mate.

  6. It could be an early prototype ;)

  7. Yes 94 lol, I haven't even had a beer yet. I could buy his r1 to sell but I would have to pretend I still had it and not let him in my garage for years. Or I could be honest and tell him they have gone up in value especially his with that mileage. He doesn't need the money but he has to many toys cluttering up his life :)

  8. Buy the r1 mate there great bikes to ride.

  9. If I needed another bike to use and keep I would mate, I have 3 at the moment and a new one hopefully ready for weekend collection and approximately 2.38p in the bank until 2 of them go :-(

  10. See if he still wants to sell it and hang onto it for a couple of years maybe until its 20th anniversary? Will be worth even more then.
