So what have you done today..?

I did my blood doning last Friday. Over 30 something armfuls I think I've done now. Restocked with fish n chips and a tin of Magners when I got home

 

I did not give blood today. I won't be, tomorrow, either. Or ever. Bastards told me never to come back.

That's a shame, despite my blood being blue, they still accept it. What colour is yours that they decline?

I picked up a hitch-hiker this morning - you've got to when you accidentally hit them

 

Just spent 14 hours in the local A&E hooked up to an ECG and BP machines. Fecking air suspension on the ambulance makes the bloody thing roll like a trawler in a force 9 when they light up the blues. If I hadn't already felt sick, it wouldn't have taken long. Hospital staff were great especially the A&E Sister in charge who seemed to take pity on the old bugger. Never had so much blood taken or sat around for so long waiting on results. Still, end result is no enzyme in the blood so the chest pains, numb left arm and pins and needles in the left hand wasn't a heart attack. No idea what it was but hopefully a good nights kip and all will be better in the morning. Andy

Just scored a set of Velocity stacks for the hyper off of a lad on the ducati.ms forum....never thought id see a set second hand come up for sale...grabbed em while I could...fuck the overdraft.

Yep - hope your feeling a bit better after a nights kip....its a short life....mate called me yesterday to tell me another acquaintance of mine died last week from a heart attack. He was the same age as me (47). He had open heart surgery a long time ago and was on, so his mate told me "more drugs than a grand national winner" but while they knew it was always a possibility it still came as a surprise. Ive not spoken to him for a few years. He used to do body building some time ago and was still in my eyes "a fucking big bloke" but a really nice guy all the same. I set up an office network for him a couple of years back and while we got chatting he'd just been accepted into the hells angels and told me that they were apparently seen by the law as officially a "terrorist organization". He told me the biggest arguments came from deciding how much to sell tshirts on ebay for....very funny. Top bloke.

I was going to fit a clutch to my dad's Punto but when I turned the steering 2 more faults jumped out, the drivers side shock and top mount are mullered, and then he said "Oh, I had heard something, I meant to mention that and the MOT guy said there was a bit of rust underneath last year" Well, the rust has gone mental and there are holes both sides.... on a 2001 Punto, Scrap it, I thought these Fiats were galvanised?

And I will be taking the car to the local bike night as there's a knackered fiat stranded on the drive so I can't get the bike out.

 

Thanks for all the get well wishes folks, gives me a nice fuzzy warm feeling. Slept 'till 11 this morning and whilst I feel a bit second hand, I'm in one piece and just going to chill for a couple of days. The furthest I might venture is a quick trip to MR since someone has said there is an Anniversario just been delivered. Andy
