Oil Pressure Gauge

  1. Does anyone know where I could get a small mechanical oil pressure gauge that screws in the oil filler hole? They have them on the Radical bikes but I'd rather source one in the UK if I can.

  2. Isn't that an oil temp gauge rather than oil pressure?

  3. I hadn't considered that, you could be right.

  4. I also could be wrong, but the ones I've seen previously were oil temp gauges. If you are putting idiot lights on your build then the standard switch should light this at (I *think*) 0.14 bar. If that's not enough fidelity for you then you could wire an electrical or capillary-fed gauge to the pressure switch.

  5. All the ones I've seen are temp gauges/filler cap. I've got one on my Guzzi, which although a different fitting and longer probe/dipstick is the same gauge.

I've also got a new, in the box temp gauge/filler cap for a Ducati that I'm not using if anyone's looking for one...

  6. How much do you want for it?

  7. Race tech or demon tweeks.
But you won't like the price.

  8. That has gotta be a temp gauge as @Dukedesmo states common fare on Guzzis. The pressure in the case will only be inches of water.

If you want an oil pressure gauge then the best thing to do is to tap off the oil pressure switch point usually (I know shit about Ducatis really). You can go either electric using a transducer or an old mechanical type (fine if they don't leak)

I had quite a small pressure gauge on my Guzzi using an air system pressure gauge, it worked fine till I dropped the bike.........klutz that I am
