Hey Folks; New Dvt, New To Ducati

  1. Hey all
Hello! Picked up my new DVT Multi S today and already loving it. Have had a pretty varied history of bikes but feels like I've just hit the nail in terms of the best of everything in one. Left my KTM 990 SMT as a trade in and truthfully I'll miss it, but while it's performance belied its specs, I just didn't feel that it had the two up touring capabilities of the Multi. Need to get myself used to the low seat height even though I'm a relative short arse at 5'8 but got so used to tip toes on the KTM that I now feel like I'm sports bike from the waist down and upright top body. All good though especially when my better half is getting herself aboard and hopping off.
Truthfully, and even though it was well down on power, the SMT felt much more immediate (never did the SAS removal) low down and the manual WP suspension was excellent, but the active Multi suspension is fantastic and when it comes alive over 6K (yes yes but I've always ran my bikes in 'hard') and you glance at the dash, it surprises you as to what's on the clock (eh digital dash) in the best of ways.
Looking forward to the next few years with the Duc.

The history btw runs as follows - GPZ 500S, VFR 750, Blackbird (4into1 race system plus Dynojet), ZX12R, ZX10R, got all sensible then bored with a GS, K13R, 990SMT...

  2. Welcome, now where the image of this beast?

See the traders section & carbon-conquest specifically for some nice bling.

  4. Welcome Dave

  5. Thanks folks and health to ride Nigel. Will post some pics when I get some some time away from work to get the bike out and actually take some pics too!

Don't suppose anybody would care to share the winning lottery numbers for this week?

    Cheers, Phil

  6. Welcome Phil. Another first time Ducati owner with a Multi DVT here. My missus really likes it too, finds the seating position much better than the Triumph Explorer 1200 that I had before. Electronic suspension makes taking a pillion much easier, no need to get the spanners out - a few button presses and good to go. Have just passed 1000 miles on mine and finding sport mode rather addictive

  9. Cheers gents. Got a brief run in and out of work yesterday but up to my stones and just busting to get out for a proper run!
Great to read of you all enjoying the bike as much; I'm sure I have a pair of rose tinted specs on with it being new but for the limited runs I've had, it truly feels like the best bits of every bike I've had to date. Roll on some time out to enjoy!!
