I know it isn't a Ducati and it's not even red! (Soz ducbird).Has anyone got any idea where I could locate the 3 full exhaust pipes for a Suzuki GT 550 two stroke? I know of a full, original factory set but the guy thinks he's found a lost Dutch Master on canvas and started at a totally crazy £2750! I've spoken to a couple of specialist restorers but they all say the metal was so thin and the chroming so light that it's virtually impossible resto job? The other problem is I haven't even got a manky original set as some nutter slung them and fitted homegrown expansion pipes while smoking vast amounts of skunk, crack and meth? Can anybody help or advise? You chaos and girls have been so helpful in the past
Talk to PDQ near Slough. When I had my TL, they specialised in Suzuki and might be able to help. Andy
I remember my hunt for original GT750A pipes, a long time ago. Part of the set was acquired through Bridge Motorcycles in Exeter, and the rest from a dealer in West Germany whose name escapes me ... Wait. West Germany? Damn, that was a long time ago :Wideyed: Sorry. Carry on.
There are original pipes out there or so the say? Trouble is they are in Latvia,Chile and Rotherham! I'm obviously concerned for my safety while travelling to strange and potentially dangerous places! What's Rotherham like???
I got a full original set in factory boxes for my KH 750 for £450! Mind you - that was plenty of paper in 1999?
My understanding is that Suzuki are remanufacturing original parts for some of the old two strokes, might be worth checking. Andy
