I'm giving serious consideration to getting rid of the Navihalter. I've been using a Givi tank bag for work because of it's convenience - you just unclip it and take it with you, which you can't really do with a top box as it's just a bit too big to routinely carry around. Also, I have some storage in the back of my garage and so it is quite short and I have to remove the top box for the bike to fit. That said, I move house soon and I'll have a much larger double garage and so the top box might become a permanent fixture, meaning I won't need a tank bag, meaning I won't need a Navihalter. Funny how your garage size dictates how you mount your GPS?
On varying bikes most ram mounts. On multi: Off the mirror (pete1950 has this) On the top yoke (2013 model ) Handlebars left and right U clamped mainly Comparison for me is; Fouls tank bags (which I do use) Vibrates more Can get knocked Have to remove clamps if leaving bike somewhere Most importantly have to look away from the road and focus on a screen out of my eye line
I fix my satnav and phone to the accessory bar on my palmer products screen adapter. Puts everything where you want to see it, no vibration and you can adjust the screen easily too. I fix my satnav and phone onto the accessory bar that comes with the palmer products screen adapter. I'm happy with it as it puts everything where you want to see it, no vibes and you can still adjust the screen easily.
I have just fitted my Navilhalter and i have no problem moving the screen on the move. I have a tank bag so could not fit the yoke. Glad I got the Navilhalter as its a simple but very effective sat nav holder as its not far from your eyeline as you ride. Easy to fit, took about 5 minutes to fit once the screen is of and then it's just adjusting the mount to suit.
I am interested in fitting a Navihalter to my 2012 pikes peak. where can I get one from as the Navihalter web site seems to be out of action. can anyone help me please?
