899 899 Modes?

  4. If they are factory settings, Race..... However you can turn off DTC and have throttle settling on high in any mode if you so desire (My 959 will not wheelie with DTC on).

    Turn the dtc off if you have any issues

  12. Reading somewhere someone uses wet mode as their wheelie mode.
     
  13. Wheelies better with the 101 tooth sprocket rather than the 98 I find?

  15. You just keep your new bike in Wet Mode, reduce the power to low and DTC to highest level. Those 1299 bikes are for big boys :Cigar:
     
  16. Is DTC highest level or is it lowest, always confusing that one :Bucktooth:
     
  17. Can't see how The bike would wheelie in wet mode with TC on high

    Doesn't have wheelie control so as soon as the front wheel lifts it thinks the back wheel is spinning and cuts power.

    I run TC in 3 and mine wheelies off the throttle.

  19. No A 959 but it's the same electronics

    I think people get confused between the ant wheel lift (rear wheel lifting under braking with ABS 3 and 2) and wheelie control (front wheel lifting)
     
  20. Mine has lifted the front wheel slightly in 1st with level 2 traction control. To be sure though, turn TC off and ABS to 1. Just don't fuck it up. I will not be happy if my advice aids a plonker in destroying an 899! ;)
