Dammit, something has come up. Damned shame as its been a while, will catch up with the ace cafe regulars soon!
anyone heading up from london? Im west London so would ne happy to meet at the ace 9ish... @Pete1950 ? @Jen and john might come down from derby if the weather is good.. (pussys)
@chisel We will not be at the Ace but four or five of us plan to meet up at 11am tomorrow near the place where the M1 crosses the A5 (come off the M1 at Junction 9 - Markyate & Dunstable). Meet in the carpark of the Harvester/Premier Inn, just after the roundabout. Then ride up the A5 to the Sausage. NB: the dual carriageway section which by-passes Milton Keynes looks fast but is often infested with speed traps - you have been warned! I plan to ride back via Buckingham and Aylesbury, thence onto the M40/A40. You're welcome to join us. Peter
I plan on riding from my house in southall down a40 to denim the back roads to Aylesbury then on from there... Not sure what thence means but will be at on ya bike bout 10 ish
Just finished putting my bike back together again, and back inside from the garage at Chewy towers. I think that I am going to have a shot at getting there. 11am seems like a good time to aim for. I am bringing the necessary equipment to adjust the mixture on the FCRs, last time out it was a bit lean off idle, and hanging up. Another half turn on the screws should sort it, but it needs some testing mileage.
weather isn't too bad... I'm going to make it rain by cleaning the bike... I will be at on ya bike at about 10 for a cuppa if any bods goin that way
Probably a bit late for me to set off from Lincolnshire now, be about 1-2pm by I got there, have fun folks!
some nice stuff on display - got the chance to meet a couple of you. Here's some pics (no idea who's who and what belongs to who!)
Great to speak to some of you, did not catch many names. Loved the bikes with hand made tanks etc pictured above. Some interesting fabrication methods.
